SPECIAL ORDERS: All special orders require time, and time requires patience. Our upholstery is available in many fabrics. Our bedrooms and dining rooms can be ordered in different finishes and sizes; hence they all take time to manufacture.

QUALITY: While we sell "first" quality furniture, we do not sell perfect furniture. None exists. If it did, we would sell it. You can expect industry standards, but perfection is impossible. Wood varies, color varies, sizes vary. We sell natural characteristics which enhance the product.

SHOPPING BY PHONE, MAIL, OR EMAIL: If you live too far away to visit us, please allow us to help you long-distance. To obtain a price quote you will need to call or write us with manufacturer's name and style number. If the item is an upholstered piece, you will also need a fabric number and grade. When you decide to order, put the information in writing and send it to us accompanied with a 1/3 deposit by check or credit card. When you send your order, include two phone numbers, a fax number, and your home address.

WARRANTIES: The furniture we sell is warranted by the manufacturer, not Southern Designs. Any claims pertaining to a manufacturer's defect should be made to our office in writing accompanied by pictures. We assume the furniture you receive will be standard first-quality for that particular company. Instances of transit damage are relatively rare. The carrier, not Southern Designs, is responsible for any damage. We will assist you in resolving any problems.

SHIPPING: The Mart Shipping Association located inside the Hickory Furniture Mart will help you to determine the best and most economical method of shipping using mart approved carriers. The customer is responsible for all delivery charges. Cost is based on weight and distance and includes: in-home delivery, set-up and is fully insured. Carriers will not drill holes, remove permanent fixtures or any old furniture.
